22 December 2004
A recent update to Pollstar confirms my recent show theories, with the addition of Amarillo and Jackson, MS. Check out the tour page for more.
20 December 2004
Looks like the guys are playing at Ridglea Theater on January, 13th with Saliva and Powerman 5000. Other possible dates include McAllen on the 11th, Corpus Christi on the 12th, Lubbock on the 14th, and Little Rock, AR on the 16th.
17 December 2004
So I have been pretty lazy and haven't updated the news lately, but there hasn't been alot of news to speak of, granted that I really didn't feel the need to say anything about the Dimebag tragedy. The guys are back from Colorado where they spent a secluded two weeks working on...drumroll please...many songs for a new album. Yes, when your label doesn't do a damn thing for you anymore, about the only thing to do is let the creative juices flow.
4 November 2004
The local scene has gone straight to hell here in Dallas lately. In the past week Roon (bassist) has quit Element Eighty, Josh (drummer) apparently got kicked out of Advent, and the band Altered has completely broken up. We need to get out and support our local musics before the hipsters, rappers, and everybody else overrun us.
3 November 2004
Several new shows added for Texas. Be sure to check them out if you are in the area.
2 November 2004
The November 27th date has been confirmed at Curtain Club with the band Give. It will be interesting to see Cam play again.
28 October 2004
Supposedly there is a show tomorrow night (Friday) in Shreveport, LA at Alligator Joe's. I have no idea why no one bothered to mention it until the day before the show.
27 October 2004
I have heard of a potential Dallas show coming up on late November. Interestingly, Cam's new band Give is said to be a prospective candidate to play with Edgewater (assuming Cam has no hard feelings). Give currently lists November 27th as playing Curtain Club, so that may or may not be the location of the show.
19 October 2004
It would appear that both headlining bands, Damageplan and Breaking Benjamin, have bailed on this weekend's shows in Lubbock and Odessa, respectively. No word on whether Edgewater will assume the headlining position, yet, but Pollstar seems to indicate that they will. The manager of Jake's contradicts this theory, however.
29 September 2004
Some new shows have been added. I could use someone from Odessa for the street team if anybody knows anyone who may be interested.
25 September 2004
I have completed preparations for the beta test of the Unofficial Street Team. If you would like to join, apply via the Street Team page. Only a limited number of people from each area will be accepted.
24 September 2004
Something might be coming up for next weekend, but I don't have any details. I have recently confirmed the Galaxy Club show on October 22. In other news, I think the release of Inhale may get pushed back even further, along with any possible tour.
16 September 2004
I hear we are in for a killer show on Saturday night. Looks like the band is hoping to pull off upwards of 17 songs, the likes have which haven't been seen since bay in the day. Plan on hearing some old tunes and some BRAND NEW material. I shall see you all there.
2 September 2004
Oh, by the way. There are two new shows listed on Curtain Club/Liquid Lounge's website. They are an acoustic show on the 8th and a headliner on the 18th. I have not yet had the opportunity to confirm either of these dates, but everything I was told before two days ago would suggest these shows don't really exist. It wouldn't be the first time the Curtain Club people have put up wrong information.
UPDATE: The shows have been confirmed for the time being.

All you MySpace junkies can now add Edgewater to your friend's list. View their profile now! If you have no idea what MySpace is, you should probably check it out here.
30 August 2004
For those of you hoping to hear Inhale on the radio tomorrow, give up now. The single appears to have been pushed back until October 12th, even though the promo disc has already been disseminated.
7 August 2004
This is just a rumor, but I hear Edgewater could potentially have some tours in the near future with Chevelle (that would be awesome) or Hoobastank (not so awesome, but probably more exposure) or maybe some others that I have forgotten.
5 August 2004
I'm told Inhale spanked some Green Day song on the 9 o'clock Cock Fight last night on the Edge but I missed it as I was out to eat at the time. They will be the returning champions on tonight's Cock Fight, so make sure you call in a vote or something.
16 July 2004
Couple things I learned from a conversation with Matt last night. For one, despite the opinions of some, Wind-up is 100% behind the band, and they have realized their mistake with putting Drowning Pool out at the same time as Edgewater. Apparently they are now planning a leapfrogged approach to stagger releases and facilitate promotions. In doing this, expect Inhale to hit radio around August 31. Circles will be the third single, following several months later. The band has already been working on new songs, two of which were played last night: Apples and Oranges and Get it Right. In other news, a big tour is being scheduled around August and several updates are planned for the official website.
14 July 2004
Hey everybody, I have been intercepting some rumors strongly suggesting Edgewater will be playing tomorrow night (Thursday 7/15) under a different name at Curtain Club. They will be playing first, soon after doors open at 9.
Evidence:
EW is currently playing some shows with the Feds, Murmaid Purse and Upside. These 3 bands just happen to be playing tomorrow at Curtain Club. Coincidence? I think not. http://www.curtainclub.com/curtain_cal.htm
So that means, on this hilariously short notice, we all need to get our asses out to the Curtain Club tomorrow night to rock out. Even if this rumor just happens to be false, which I am going to tell you is highly unlikely, there are still some cool bands to see.

Edgewater will be headlining the recently added "New Rock Stage" at this year's Edgefest. I have confirmed that all ticket levels have access to this stage, so there will only be a need to pay for lawn tickets.
1 July 2004
Well it looks as though Edgewater has been dropped from the Madden 2005 soundtrack, assuming they were ever really going to be on it (Source: MTV).
In other news, I have noticed that Wind-up Records.com has a blurb about going to Edgewater's site to listen to Inhale. Following that, I noticed that Inhale is now the first song to play on their website. Has the next single changed? I don't know. I also noticed that Circles now appears on the front page of the site, thereby complicating my theories.

25 June 2004
New tourdates added for the latter half of July. I am going to guess they are subject to change, and the order of cities makes it look like a child drew the map.
21 June 2004
Expect a tour to start up in mid-July with as yet undetermined bands. The next single should drop about July 21st. There's a strange rumor going around that Ricky has quit the band, which led to the trip to New York. This simply is not the case as the band is still intact. This rumor may have been started by potheads. :)

Ok, so I have been too lazy to post anything lately, but it's not like much is going on. The guys are currently up in New York for tour planning, Single planning for Circles, and playing around with some new song ideas.
29 May 2004
The headlining tour for June is being pushed back to July. The Curtain Club website still lists Edgewater as playing on June 11th, but it may not have been updated yet, as Ridglea's site now lists Life of Ki on the 11th (one of the opening acts) I'm sure the guys are getting anxious to play a few shows.
26 May 2004
I'm told Circles is a probable second single. Keep an eye out for it.
21 May 2004
I have been made aware of potential shows in the Dallas area in June. One is June 11th at Curtain Club, confirmed by the club website. The other is Ridglea Theater in Fort Worth on June 4th. The other day someone pointed out a Lubbock date in June but I can't remember the date or venue (June 16th maybe?).
20 May 2004
I have completed some updates to the site worth mentioning. First off, I have created a Goodies page where you can get your hands on a couple cool things. If you have something you would like to submit, please contact me. Speaking of which, I have created a nice little contact form for people to e-mail me questions, comments and suggestions. That's pretty gewd. I have also converted the audio page into a general media page. It now has dynamic support to play streaming video. That's pretty gewd too...I am teh sexy.
18 May 2004
So apparently the last remaining rock station in the top five market of Dallas/Fort Worth has been disbanded, which once again proves my theory: Clearchannel SUCKS. Boycott the rest of their stations.

Rumors are afloat, especially due to a recent KDGE interview with Matt and Justin, concerning who Edgewater will be touring with this summer. Possibilities include Evanescence, Finger 11, or a combined tour with Atomship and Shinedown. I'll readily admit that I'm not at all impressed with any of these bands, so expect Edgewater to rock your face off before you are put to sleep.
26 April 2004
Welcome to The Unofficial Edgewater Site's new home at edgewater.damaged.net. This new location and server for this site will mean big things for this site. I will let you know as soon as I figure out what they are exactly. Special thanks to Brent for the use of is server at no cost.
Edgewater is playing a surprise show at Club Clearview on Friday night. Be sure to come check it out. It's a headlining show like the old days (ie. last December).

17 April 2004
Word from the band is we might see a special headlining show in the near future, but don't hold me to that if it doesn't pan out. If you can help it, stay the hell away from Nokia Live (NextStage), at least until the construction is complete. If there's a concert going on across the street at Lone Star Park, you're screwed.
9 April 2004
Go buy the CD and come check out the CD Release Party on Saturday the 10th at Grapevine Mills at XGames. Then come check out the acoustic show at Virgin Megastore in Dallas on the 15th, the day before the bash on the 16th. And if that isn't enough for ya, go join Frienzy's Edgewater Group.
6 April 2004
At long last the album is here. Go buy yourself some copies. Buy, buy, BUY!!!
4 April 2004
Go check out a new interview from East Coast Romper and learn more about the band, their album, their old bass player, and socks. Apparently Matt doesn't wear any underwear. Who knew? The album comes out Tuesday...don't forget to buy a copy...or 3.
23 March 2004
The first nationwide release of an Edgewater track has arrived. Go out and pick up The Punisher: The Album for your copy of Eyes Wired Shut.
22 March 2004
Head on over and check out the newly revamped (again) Official Edgewater site. The new site is now comparable to this one in terms of content, mainly the addition of lyrics. The main difference with this site now is the inclusion of the discography, and lyrics/information concerning the independent album releases. Hey look, this site is listed on their links page now.
18 March 2004
Here is some interesting news. According to Ricky on his website, Edgewater will be appearing on Madden 2005, which will likely be released this summer on a video game platform near you. Gonna spread like wildfire...
10 March 2004
I present to you, for your viewing pleasure, the first ever Edgewater Music Video. Take a look.

7 March 2004
Some good news, Justin has confirmed that the three tracks that have been dropped from the new album should appear as B-sides in the future, and one of which may be selected for a soundtrack. Engage anyone? Also both Justin (via the forum) and Ricky (via his website) confirmed that the video for Eyes Wired Shut is complete and has been submitted to whomever accepts them. Here is what Ricky had to say on his website:
Edgewater's video for "Eyes Wired Shut" starring Lou Ferigno [sic], Stan Lee, & the wrestler's Slammer & Jammer, is now in the hands of the video tv station "Fuse", hopefully MTV and the likes will follow soon.
5 March 2004
ARGH!!!! Wind-up appears to have flooded the Kazaa network with their beeped up versions of songs from the new album. I am going to go crazy because Engage does not appear to be on the album. This is a huge disappointment as it is probably my favorite song. The two other missing tracks appear to be Submerged and Ode to You. Submerged is also suprising to me, although not near as much as Engage.
1 March 2004
Check out the new Punisher E-card by checking out the banner below. Sign up and you could win prizes...or something.
27 February 2004
New tourdate added for April 16th here in Dallas. I was wondering when they were going to sneak a Dallas show in. Looks like the show will be put on by the Edge and feature several other bands that I could care less about seeing, as is usual for them. I guess you can find out more at the Edge and sign up to be an "EdgeHead" to get in on the presale.
24 February 2004
The concert the other night rocked my socks off. You missed a good show if you didn't go. Haven't heard much news lately other than the fact that the release date for South of Sideways is set for April 6th, and should be available for under $10 at a store near you. Check out the cover for the album HERE.
2 February 2004
Head on over to Ricky's Website and check out a pic of the boys with Lou Ferrigno at the video shoot for Eyes Wired Shut. The single hits tomorrow, so request the hell out of it.
29 January 2004
So I woke up today expecting a normal crappy day of school and the like, but when I turned on my computer I received a seemingly random instant message from a guy claiming to have South of Sideways in his possession. Skeptical as I usually am, especially considering I haven't heard anything from Wind-up's online guy about it, I requested Engage and was mesmerized as I turned on WinAMP and actually heard Engage. WOW. I now have the whole album...and you don't.
25 January 2004
Edgewater will be in Los Angeles tomorrow to film the video for Eyes Wired Shut. Looks like the 70s Incredible Hulk star Lou Ferrigno will be the main character of the video.
14 January 2004
Justin just announced on the boards that the tentative release date for South of Sideways is April 6th. Whether this sticks or not is anyone's guess.
11 January 2004
I heard the new version of Eyes Wired Shut on the Local Show tonight. Rock. Robert says Advent will be the opener for Edgewater and Finger Eleven. This should be a kick ass show.
9 January 2004
I have updated the tour dates section. Edgewater will be touring with Finger Eleven in February. The Official site has also been updated with a two minute clip of Break Me Out. Check it out HERE.
